WKD X is a caffienated alcoholic drink building upon WKD’s established identity in nightlife culture, targeting consumers looking for a more energetic drinking experience.
Rooted in the concept of X tape placed over phone cameras at raves, this rebrand of WKD X brings meaning to what “X” actually is - authenticity, concealment and participation.
With a strong idea, I wanted to expand this into a fully fledged campaign. Using a fictional collaboration with boiler room, I created a system using the tape and X motif to extend the brand identity into other uses. Concealing rave locations, creating phone stickers and rave ephemera all create marketing opportunities whilst reinforcing the brands main message.
Combining WKDs witty and fun reputation in nightlife culture with a more culturally relevant reference for the caffienated alcohol market, WKD X creates a distinctive system that extends beyond branding and into real-world experiences.
As a life brief, I also had the opportunity to pitch this to WKD and Continuous.
