Experimenta is an arts and culture channel dedicated to experimental film, tv, performance and music from around the world and throughout history. Expect the unexpected 24 hours a day. This channel is about high culture, art house cinema and bridging arts and entertainment.
The identity is built around the idea of framing, referencing both cinematic composition and the act of curating cultural work.
Using hand-cut card frames and printed scenes from arthouse films, the ident reinterprets existing imagery through a physical process, creating a layered and tactile visual language.
This analogue approach reflects the materiality and imperfections of the films themselves, while contrasting with the digital environment of a 24-hour broadcast channel.
The system translates into motion through a series of shifting frames, allowing content to be continuously recontextualised — reinforcing the channel’s focus on experimentation and unpredictability.
